The tuning of a kalimba directly influences the atmosphere of the music produced. C major and B major are two common tunings, each with its own unique characteristics.

C Major Kalimba: C major is considered the most natural and fundamental tuning. Its tone is bright and cheerful, making it suitable for playing pop songs, children's songs, and more. For beginners, C major is easier to learn as many music theory concepts are based on C major.
